Tokio Marine HCC, a US-based specialty insurance group, has named Henning Skaarup as head of surety Nordics and Jan Holm Larsen as senior surety underwriter.
The appointments are part of Tokio Marine HCC strategy to continue expanding its international surety capabilities into Continental Europe, the Nordics and beyond.
Based in Copenhagen, Skaarup will report directly to Luc Reuter, head of surety – Europe. He will serve as general manager of a newly created Danish branch.
Skaarup will focus on developing and directing a surety practice across the Nordic Region to help clients with their domestic and international surety needs through Tokio Marine HCC’s global network.
Both the executives join Tokio Marine HCC from Tryg Garanti, where Skaarup working as senior vice president developed and directed the company’s Nordic Surety business since 2001.
He has nearly 35 years of financial services experience, including 28 years of underwriting Surety.
