UK-based private equity firm AnaCap Financial Partners has purchased a majority stake in Danish digital health insurance platform SundhedsGruppen from its founders.
The deal involves independent Danish private health insurance provider Dansk Sundhedssikring as well as PrimaCare, a provider of healthcare networks.
SundhedsGruppen offers health insurance and claims management services to clients’ employees. It has also created a technological infrastructure which allows it white label other providers in other insurance areas.
Using its technological platform, SundhedsGruppen supports accurate identification of optimal healthcare access as well as reporting, feedback and claims management.
Following the completion of the transaction, AnaCap will use its insurance sector understanding and know-how to enhance both technological and digital infrastructure.
AnaCap managing director Tassilo Arnhold said: “AnaCap is delighted to be partnering with SundhedsGruppen. The Company has created a great insurance technology and data-driven platform with a uniquely differentiated insurer challenger proposition, high customer service standards and competitive underwriting.
