UK-based Charles Taylor InsureTech has established an office in Dubai as part of its global expansion strategy.
The insurtech expects the new branch to help its meet the growing demands for technology-related business transformation programmes in the regional insurance market.
The Dubai office will be headed by Shahid Safdar, who has been appointed as managing director for the Middle East and North Africa regions.
Safdar is joining Charles Taylor from Takaful Emarat, where he served as chief digital officer.
Earlier, he held senior management consultancy roles at Grant Thornton, KPMG and Satori Consulting.

The establishment of office in Dubai follows Charles Taylor InsureTech’s growth and success in European and Latin American markets.
Success in the UK resulted in Charles Taylor InsureTech being selected to offer a global delegated authorities platform for Lloyd’s.
In Latin America, the London-based insuretech acquired regional insurance technology business Inworx to further solidify its footprint in the region.
