American insurance brokerage firm Arthur J. Gallagher & Co has acquired Sweden-based insurance broker Proinova for an undisclosed sum.
Proinova, set up in 1989, offers insurance, loss prevention training and claims advocacy services to the members of the trade association members of real estate sector.
Additionally, the acquired entity also serves clients in various areas, including municipalities, hotels and conferences, as well as individual real estate and business property owners.
Under the terms of the agreement, Proinova CEO Sten Eriksson and his associates will continue operating from their existing offices under the leadership of Anders Mjaaland, head of Gallagher’s Scandinavian operations.
Commenting on the deal, Arthur J. Gallagher & Co chairman, president and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., said: “Proinova is a strong, family run business that extends Gallagher’s geographic presence into the southern region of Sweden, and expands our capabilities and product offering to clients across Scandinavia.”
Gallagher International division CEO Vyvienne Wade stated: “Proinova’s location in the south of Sweden is an excellent geographic fit with our existing operations, as we look to continue our strategic growth in Scandinavia.”
