With the expansion, the programme will now be available in New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois and Arizona.
Previously, the company launched HealthBridge in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
MassMutual provides local healthcare workers with free policies of up to $25,000. Recently, the company expanded eligibility to include additional healthcare workers and volunteers under the programme.
At present, Active employees and qualifying volunteers working in healthcare facilities including licensed hospitals, urgent care centres, and temporary Covid treatment facilities can apply for the three-year term life policies offered by the company.

By GlobalDataMassMutual chairman, president and CEO Roger Crandal said: “We were proud to create HealthBridge as our way of saying thank you to the brave frontline workers who are doing so much to help others at the height of this pandemic.
“With the expansion of this programme, we will ensure that more people in more states qualify for this valuable protection, helping to provide peace of mind as they continue to put the health and well-being of others above their own.”
HealthBridge, totalling $3bn of insurance coverage, is an extension of the company’s two decades old LifeBridge programme. The programme offers free life insurance to income-eligible families to help children with educational expenses in case a parent or guardian passes away.
