Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance has launched an online-based remote loss prevention service for corporate clients as a complementary support measure during the Covid-19 pandemic.
The company has reportedly partnered with online visual assistance service firm SightCall for the new initiative that will cater to the needs of four overseas and three local clients.
This new service provides risk assessment based on ergonomics such as human behavioural patterns and risks pertaining to them to control reckless actions at such facilities, reported Asia Insurance Review.
Through these pre-emptive examinations and measures are aimed at reducing accidents and subsequent damages, and compensation and thereby minimising the insurance premiums paid by clients.
Tokio Marine & Nichido manager and ergonomics expert Hisaki Ematsu was quoted by the publication as saying: “We can assess potential risks at each facility and advise policyholders depending on analyses of behavioural patterns which vary from nation to nation and culture to culture, such as designated colours of warning signage and brightness of rooms.”
According to the report, Tokio Marine & Nichido has remotely analysed the risk of accidents for seven clients since the launch of the service in May.
