Specialist property and casualty reinsurer Greenlight Capital Re has launched UK marketing company, dubbed Greenlight Re Marketing (UK).
The move will allow Cayman Islands-headquartered reinsurer to increase its presence in the London market.
Greenlight Re UK will be led by Andrew Gladwin, who previously served as Canopius global head of Marine Treaty and Swiss Re London Market Treaty lead.
Greenlight Re chief executive Simon Burton said: “London market specialty business is now central to Greenlight Re’s portfolio. Greenlight Re UK will facilitate further growth in this area.
“Andy Gladwin is a recognised expert in Marine & Energy reinsurance, with over 30 years of experience in this market. We are delighted to welcome him to our team.”
Gladwin added: “This is an exciting time in the market, and I look forward to contributing to the growth of Greenlight Re’s book.”
