Zurich Insurance Group (Zurich) has set up a new unit to cater to the growing demand from businesses for evolving risk prevention and mitigation services.
Dubbed Zurich Resilience Solutions, the new unit will offer services that will boost the overall resilience of a customer’s business and complement traditional insurance products.
Its offering brings together risk advisory services and insights with the latest technology and tools, using data and analytics as well as third-party collaborations.
The move is expected to help customers manage evolving risks more effectively, and thereby, improve their risk profiles.
Zurich has appointed Hanno Mijer as the global head of Zurich Resilience Solutions. Mijer, who has spent over 30 years in the insurance sector, has held various key positions in Continental Europe, the UK and Australia.
A part of the company since 2007, Mijer most recently served as the CEO of Zurich’s Cover-More Group.
