Marsh McLennan’s reinsurance brokering unit Guy Carpenter has launched its Asia Pacific Catastrophe Advisory Group.
The unit will provide its clients with direct access to the broker’s capabilities to address catastrophe risks. The team will include analytics experts, scientific partners and public-sector specialists.

Jeremy Waite, who has more than 25 years of experience in the (re)insurance sector, will lead the unit.
Separately, Waite will also retain his current role as it heads the property treaty broking team at Guy Carpenter for Australia and New Zealand.
