June 2021 has seen an increase of 4.59% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs accounted for an 11.67% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering decrease of 0.02% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 49.52% in June 2021, a 13.81% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 19.83% in June 2021, marking an 11.49% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 13.22% in June 2021, a 7.84% growth from May 2021.

Top five insurance companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 32.27% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s insurance industry during June 2021 over previous month.
Allianz posted 91 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 2.25% over the previous month, followed by Swiss Re with 86 jobs and an 8.86% growth. Zurich Insurance Group with 79 IT jobs and Willis Towers Watson with 65 jobs, recorded an 11.27% growth and a 550% increase, respectively, while AXA recorded a 57.58% an increase with 52 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s insurance industry
The UK commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 29.93% share in June 2021, a 15.28% rise over May 2021. France featured next with a 13.46% share, up 36.59% over the previous month. Germany recorded a 12.02% share, a growth of 40.85% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.96%, up by 8.78% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 15.02% share, a growth of 27.55% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 8.17% share, up 30.77% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.84%, recording a month-on-month growth of 133.33%.
