The industry’s overall hiring increased by 3.03% in July 2021 compared with June 2021.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 9.49% share in July 2021, recording decrease of 0.21% over the last three-month average share.

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 97.94% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia insurance industry in July 2021.

Top five insurance companies in Australia IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 9.38% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Australia insurance industry during July 2021 over June 2021.
AMP posted 22 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a rise of 340% over the previous month, followed by Dai-ichi Life Holdings with 22 jobs and a 29.03% drop. Bupa Global with 13 IT jobs and Insurance Australia Group with 7 jobs, recorded an 85.71% growth and a 50% decline, respectively, while QBE Insurance Group recorded a 14.29% decline with 6 job postings during July 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 85.57%, flat growth from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 12.37% share, a decline of 14.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.06% share, down 33.33% over June 2021.
