VT Insurance Agency, a provider of aerial application insurance, has selected Applied Digital Agency from Applied Systems to streamline its commercial lines workflows.

This move aims to automate new business processes and remarketing activities, specifically targeting fixed wing, rotor wing and drone insurance sectors.

By integrating Applied Epic with marketing, customer service, payments and submissions management applications, the agency intends to reduce redundant data entry and maintain easily accessible information.

Applied Systems chief product officer Anupam Gupta said: “Applied Digital Agency’s connected workflows and flexible infrastructure allow niche agencies to easily reuse account and policy data they have entered once across fields and forms throughout the insurance life cycle, helping them work smarter and faster, and ultimately increase profitability.”

Applied Digital Agency’s solution offers a comprehensive management system including a payment hub, customer self-service portal, mobile technology, and commercial lines application digitalisation and automation, all cloud-hosted.

This integration facilitates higher-value transactions and enhances customer experiences across the insurance life cycle, according to the company.

Agencies leveraging this technology can manage their entire business on a single platform, reducing the inefficiencies of using multiple systems, thus speeding up growth.

VT Insurance Agency owner Vaughn Tolbert said: “As our agency grew, we experienced inefficiencies with our previous agency management system due to the number of unnecessary clicks and data re-entry needed to market and service accounts.

“Applied Epic’s modern, customisable technology stood out to us because we were able to integrate our marketing and policy workflows and build out aviation-specific forms that populate information directly from Applied Epic, allowing data to flow through each step of the workflow and give more time to our customers.”

VT Insurance Agency, a major force in the US aerial application drone insurance market, insures 75–80% of all legal aerial application drone policies.

The agency’s portfolio includes property and casualty (P&C) insurance services covering a range of offerings from aerial application drones and aircraft to commercial auto and workers’ compensation.

As a national board member of the Unmanned Pilots Associate for Safety and Standards (U-Pass), VT Insurance Agency contributes to regulatory reforms for drones at both state and federal levels.

In July this year, Applied Systems bought Planck, an AI-driven platform for the commercial insurance industry.
