Cyber insurance provider CFC has announced the expansion of its corporate cyber proposition in Europe with the establishment of a team for serving brokers across the continent.

With operational European offices in Madrid and Brussels, and additional locations scheduled to open by the year-end, CFC has appointed the Corporate Cyber & Tech EMEA team leader, Ilaria Silvato.

Silvato’s role will focus on building the European team and driving CFC’s corporate cyber business growth in the region.

She brings more than 13 years of experience in the insurance industry to her new position at CFC.

Ilaria transitions from her previous role at Beazley, where she served as the international underwriting manager for cyber risks for four years.

Trilingual in Italian, Spanish and English, she will be stationed in Spain but work with European clients to deliver CFC’s proactive cyber solutions on a primary basis.

CFC Corporate Cyber Practice leader Andrew Prendergast said: “CFC’s corporate cyber team have been successfully writing large primary cyber risk for European brokers and their clients from our London headquarters for more than a decade, and our in-house claims team has extensive experience in handling large losses for these corporate clients.”

Silvato said: “The business has blazed a trail in the cyber market and has a reputation for service and innovation that is second to none. Building a European-based team that has a broad appetite across many industry sectors and a willingness to consider distressed risks demonstrates CFC’s commitment to serving its European broker partners and their clients.”
