Reinsurance broker Miller has announced the expansion of its Professional & Financial Lines (ProFin) team with the appointments of Amanda Armitage and Scott Gorman.
This move is aimed at bolstering the company’s services in this sector.
Armitage joins Miller as business development manager within the International Professions team.
Gorman has been appointed to lead the UK and International Professional Indemnity (PI) Wholesale team.
Bringing more than 15 years of industry experience to the role, Armitage has expertise in professional indemnity.
She has served in various broking and relationship management positions previously.

Gorman is joining Miller from Price Forbes, formerly MGB Insurance Brokers, where he spearheaded the New Business division, specialising in professional indemnity insurance.
Before his tenure at Price Forbes, Gorman’s career included a role as an underwriter for Lloyd’s coverholder/managing general agent, as well as a position within Towergate’s Financial Risks team.
In his new role at Miller, Gorman will focus on developing wholesale offerings for brokers in the UK, the Republic of Ireland, Australia and other territories that require the services of a London-based broker for specialist products.

In October this year, Miller collaborated with CyberCube, a cyber risk analytics provider, to enhance its capabilities to quantify and reduce cyber risks for its customers.
The company hired Siva Krishnan as head of sports and entertainment for the Asia-Pacific region in September.
Additionally, in August, Miller announced the acquisition of the Swiss reinsurance capital advisory company 4809 Brokers.
