Arch Insurance International has promoted Jelle Ouwehand to the role of head of terrorism, political violence and war.  

Ouwehand oversees a portfolio that includes terrorism, SRCC, as well as malicious damage, political violence, war and NCBR risks, along with terrorism liability and organised crime. 

He will manage underwriting operations of the team for the portfolio of coverages. 

Ouwehand brings more than 15 years of experience to his new role at Arch Insurance.  

Operating out of London, he reports to chief underwriting officer for Short Tail Lines, Lino Leoni. 

Ouwehand’s experience in the terrorism insurance sector includes both underwriting and broking roles.

He joined Arch in 2018 and served as a senior underwriter within the same division at the company.  

His prior experience includes a stint as a senior terrorism, political violence and war broker at Marsh.

Earlier this month, Arch expanded its Arch IQ platform to include public and employers’ liability insurance coverage to serve event organisers with liability coverage for a variety of regional events, with indemnity limits up to £10m ($12.61m) and minimum premiums starting at £125.
