Personal lines broker Ceta has joined forces with software solutions provider Open GI, aiming to expand the range of products available on its insurance platform.

This alliance will integrate members of the Mobius panel onto Ceta’s platform, utilising Mobius APIs to offer a wider selection to brokers.

Open GI’s Mobius platform is a cloud-based infrastructure, hosted in Microsoft Azure.

It is considered one of the most advanced insurance broking software platforms available, supporting a diverse range of providers.

These include brokers, underwriters, scheme managers, premium finance and data enrichment providers, facilitating the management of the entire insurance life cycle.

Ceta, which is part of Atec, currently offers both standard and non-standard specialist home and leisure insurance products to retail and wholesale customers.

The integration of Mobius panel members is expected to broaden the insurance products Ceta can offer through its platform, potentially increasing its appeal to brokers looking for insurance solutions.

Ceta commercial director James O’Hara said: “Ceta brings main market sophistication to niche markets in its product development, pricing and digital-led customer experience.  We have not only been able to access a wide range of new insurance product lines from the Mobius panel, but features like Mobius’s dynamic pricing tool further enhances the control we have of our pricing strategy.

“The Open GI team have supported us throughout the evaluation, build and delivery phases, and we are excited to be going live by the end of Q4 [fourth quarter].”

Open GI chief sales officer Neil Hart said: “Mobius is specifically designed to connect to existing software systems and third-party services and is completely adaptable – flexing with different business priorities and customer needs and growing with your organisation.

“We give people access to our network of incredible partners and providers, alongside granular control of their data, user journeys and customer experience.”

Open GI recently appointed Peter Thompson as its new chair.
