Hub International, a provider of insurance brokerage and financial services, has acquired the assets of Malloy Imrie & Vasconi Insurance Services (MIV Insurance).
The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
MIV Insurance is an independent company based in California’s Napa Valley and has offices in Saint Helena and Napa.
The company specialises in commercial, employee benefits and personal insurance services across California.
The deal is set to strengthen Hub’s commercial and employee benefit services in the agribusiness sector, particularly in the wine industry.
The company also expects the deal to enhance its offerings in high net worth (HNW) personal insurance.
As per the agreement, MIV Insurance partners and producers Timothy Malloy, David Capponi, Ted Bystrowski and Kevin Dickenson, along with their team, will join Hub Central & Northern California (CNC).
The company will now operate under the name MIV Insurance, a Hub International company.
Hub CNC CEO Darren Caesar said: “We are excited to welcome the MIV Insurance team to Hub. MIV Insurance’s depth of knowledge and experience in the wine industry and high net worth personal insurance will bolster our offerings and services to clients.”
Malloy added: “With Hub’s deep understanding of the agriculture industry and access to a wider variety of insurance resources and solutions, we will be able to focus on our core services while also providing industry-leading services and capabilities to our clients.”
Last month, Hub launched HUB Private Client Equine Risk Advisory Services to assist HNW and ultra-HNW clients in managing risks associated with horse ownership and equestrian activities.
