Rokstone, a UK-based specialty managing general agent (MGA) under the Aventum Group, has deepened its alliance with Allianz Commercial with a five-year capacity agreement.
The partnership aims to improve existing programmes and identify new opportunities through Rokstone’s MGA platform, with a focus on specialty business areas such as natural resources, construction and marine.
The agreement, facilitated through Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS), builds upon a series of capacity agreements that Rokstone secured with Allianz over the past four years.
These agreements have supported Allianz’s international target business across sectors including marine, aviation, property and alternative risk transfer.
Rokstone CEO Ian Anson said: “Specialty underwriting, agility and technological disruption are at the heart of our culture, whilst Allianz is unquestionably one of the finest insurance brands in the world with market-leading ratings, global reach and deep underwriting expertise. I strongly believe that the strengths of our organisations complement each other, and will benefit both parties greatly.”
Allianz Commercial chief underwriting officer Vanesa Maxwell stated: “With the extension of our collaboration with Rokstone, we want to underline our commitment to targeted expansion in Commercial and Specialty insurance on a global level. We are pleased to be working with such a capable partner as Rokstone to deliver exceptional service to our clients worldwide.”
Rokstone has a presence in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, the UK and the US.
Currently, the company underwrites approximately $1.1bn (£836.57m) in gross written premium across various specialty lines.
These include accident and health, agriculture, aviation, casualty, credit and surety treaty, construction and engineering, liability, marine, power generation, property and warranty.
Last month, Rokstone launched a new Middle Market Aviation programme, expanding its “appetite” to larger general aviation risks.
