June 2021 has seen an increase of 1.13% in the overall hiring activity when compared with May 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 15.27% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in June 2021, registering an increase of 0.92% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in June 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Asia-Pacific with a share of 61.17% in June 2021, a 19.5% growth over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 16.32% in June 2021, marking a 17.05% month-on-month an increase. In the third place was Database and Network Administrators and Architects with a share of 9.83% in June 2021, a 1.59% drop from May 2021.

Top five insurance companies in Asia-Pacific’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 1.64% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Asia-Pacific’s insurance industry during June 2021 over previous month.
UnitedHealth Group posted 190 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a an increase of 7.95% over the previous month, followed by Manulife Financial with 67 jobs and a 24.07% growth. Intercorp Financial Services with 47 IT jobs and Swiss Re with 36 jobs, recorded a 12.96% decline and a 25% drop, respectively, while Dai-ichi Life Holdings recorded a 6.06% decline with 31 job postings during June 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Asia-Pacific’s insurance industry
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 40.57% share in June 2021, a 19.07% rise over May 2021. Australia featured next with a 17.43% share, up 22.22% over the previous month. Philippines recorded a 13.15% share, a growth of 5.06% compared with May 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 62.12%, down by 8.41% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.27% share, a growth of 67.54% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.81% share, up 48.28% over May 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.79%, recording a month-on-month growth of 66.67%.
