Top five insurance companies in Canada’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 8.74% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s insurance industry during August 2021 over July 2021.
Power Financial posted 38 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 72.73% over the previous month, followed by Intact Financial with 24 jobs and a 22.58% drop. Sun Life Financial with 18 IT jobs and The Co-Operators Group with 17 jobs, recorded a 5.88% flat growth and a 10.53% decrease, respectively, while Great-West Lifeco recorded an increase of 7.14% with 15 job postings during August 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.25%, up by 0.78% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 20.11% share, registered a decline of 29.63% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.58% share, up 33.33% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 1.06%, recording a month-on-month flat growth.
