The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 2.48% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the insurance industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 13.55% share in June 2021, recording an increase of 0.19% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations recorded a share of 40.32% in June 2021, a 92.31% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 40.32% share, an increase of 38.89% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 8.06%, registering a flat growth from May 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 6.45%, up 100% over the previous month.
Top five insurance companies in Singapore IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 160% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Singapore insurance industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Factory Mutual Insurance posted 15 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 650% over the previous month, followed by Aon with 8 jobs and a flat growth. AXA with 6 IT jobs and Equitable with 5 jobs, recorded a 200% growth and a 150% increase, respectively, while Chubb recorded a 400% an increase with 5 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.68%, up by 5.71% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.65% share, a growth of 375% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 9.68% share, up 200% over May 2021.
