July 2021 has seen an increase of 10.84% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.
IT jobs accounted for a 9.05% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 1.35% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in South & Central America with a share of 62.3% in July 2021, a 15.56% drop over the previous month. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations came in next, claiming a share of 18.03% in July 2021, marking an 83.33% month-on-month increase. In the third place was Computer and Information Analysts with a share of 6.56% in July 2021, a 100% growth from June 2021.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 1.79% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s insurance industry during July 2021 over previous month.
AIA Group posted 40 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered an increase of 81.82% over the previous month, followed by Willis Towers Watson with 12 jobs and a 45.45% drop. Porto Seguro with 3 IT jobs and American International Group(AIG) with 1 jobs, recorded a 66.67% decline and a flat growth, respectively, while Qualicorp Consultoria e Corretora de Seguros recorded a 66.67% decline with 1 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s insurance industry
Anguilla commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 65.57% share in July 2021, an 81.82% rise over June 2021. Peru featured next with a 19.67% share, down 47.83% over the previous month. Brazil recorded an 8.2% share, a drop of 66.67% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 70.49%, down by 14% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.95% share, a growth of 7.69% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 6.56% share, down 42.86% over June 2021.
