The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 12.95% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 24.2% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 1.03% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Swiss Re IT hiring in August 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Swiss Re, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.41% in August 2021, and a 35.8% rise over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 17.95% in August 2021, and registered growth of 12.9%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.87% in August 2021, a 45% rise from July 2021.

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global insurance IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 53.33% share, which marked a 30% rise over the previous month.
North America stood next with 30.26%, registering a 47.5% month-on-month growth. Asia-Pacific was the third leading region with a 13.33% share and a 31.58% drop over July 2021.
In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 2.56% and a month-on-month increase of 400%. Lombardy stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 0.51%, registering a flat growth over the previous month.
Slovakia commanded a leading presence in the region’s insurance industry IT hiring activity with a 31.28% share in August 2021, a 69.44% growth over July 2021. US featured next with a 20.51% share, up 17.65% over the previous month. Switzerland recorded a 9.23% share, an increase of 28.57% compared with July 2021.
Junior Level jobs lead Swiss Re IT hiring activity in August 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 69.23%, up by 21.62% from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 22.05% share, a growth of 19.44% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with an 8.72% share, up 41.67% over July 2021.
