The value marked an increase of 91.4% over the previous month of $2.43bn and a drop of 18.6% when compared with the last 12-month average of $5.71bn.
In terms of number of deals, the sector saw a rise of 24.32% with 46 deals in June 2021 when compared to the last 12-month average of 37 deals.
In value terms, Asia-Pacific led the activity with deals worth $3.63bn in June 2021.
