Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Idaho-based full-service insurance agency Cunnington & Associates for an unknown sum.
The acquired company, founded in 2005, offers risk management, group captives, loss control, safety programs and risk financing services to clients primarily across Idaho and the Intermountain West.
It is said to specialise in agriculture, construction, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, real estate and transportation industries.
In line with the terms of the transaction, Cunnington & Associates will continue to operate from their current location under the direction of Gallagher Northwest Region retail property/casualty brokerage operations head Jim Buckley.
Arthur J. Gallagher chairman, president and CEO Patrick Gallagher Jr. said: “Cunnington & Associates enhances Gallagher’s Northwest presence, specifically in the Intermountain region, and expands cross-selling opportunities with our employee benefits division.
Earlier this month, the company acquired Nevada-based CRES Insurance Services.
It also snapped up Williams Insurance Agency for an undisclosed sum in February this year.
This year Arthur J. Gallagher also purchased a minority stake in Malaysia-based SP&G Insurance Brokers and the remaining stake in Capsicum Reinsurance Brokers, increasing its ownership from 33% to 100%.
