Alberta-based broker Acera Insurance Services has partnered with BMA Group, marking the company’s first expansion into Saskatchewan, Canada.

This move extends the reach of Acera’s specialty benefits division, part of the company’s plan to strengthen its presence as an independent Canadian-owned brokerage.

BMA Group, which is based in Saskatoon, has specialised in designing and maintaining “competitive plans” for local businesses since 2012.

With this deal, BMA Group will ultimately evolve into Acera Benefits.

The company says the transaction was Acera’s ninth collaboration deal in 2024.

Acera strengthened its footprint in Saskatchewan with the recent opening of a property and casualty branch at 1249 8 Street East in Saskatoon.
