Acrisure Re, the reinsurance division of global fintech company Acrisure, has appointed several executives to its Corporate Advisory & Solutions (ARCAS) division.
All the hires will report to Ben Canagaretna, global managing director of ARCAS.
The appointments include Lauren Johnson as head of Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL), Assad Negyal as head of Pricing, David Ryan as head of exposure management and Lucas He as vice-president (VP) of retrospective solutions.
Johnson has rejoined the London ARCAS team, where she will lead the division’s growing FAL capability.
Johnson previously worked at Wakam for 18 months and originally joined ARCAS in 2021 as VP, following a six-year tenure at Securis Investment Partners as head of Lloyd’s and specialty analytics.
Negyal, based in London, took up the role at ARCAS in January.
With experience as a pricing actuary, Negyal previously held senior roles at Barbican, Chubb Europe, Zurich Financial Services, Lloyd’s, Odyssey Re and Starr Insurance.
Ryan joined ARCAS in late 2024 to lead the exposure management team. With more than 15 years of experience, he held similar roles at Talbot, Lloyd’s and Willis Re.
Lucas He joined ARCAS in February as VP, having previously worked at R&Q in the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) division and at Catalina as a legacy M&A and actuarial specialist.
Canagaretna said: “We continue to see immense opportunity in the Lloyd’s FAL market and have grown in this space to become one of the largest managers of third-party funds at Lloyd’s.
“I look forward to working with our team to further enhance our capabilities.”
Acrisure Re CEO Simon Hedley said: “I am very pleased with the successful development of the ARCAS team. Ben’s keen focus on aligning hiring with market opportunities has been key to our success, and the addition of Lauren, Assad, David and Lucas will enhance our growth and product development initiatives. I look forward to working with them and welcoming them to Acrisure Re.”
In January this year, Acrisure divested its five general agencies to US-based Warner Pacific and agreed on an alliance.
