Alera Group, a firm providing national employee benefits, property-casualty, retirement services and wealth management, has acquired JDM Benefits.
Terms of the deal, which is effective from 1 August this year, have not been disclosed.
Based in New York, JDM Benefits serves as an insurance broker, claims advocate for employers.
Besides providing benefits solutions, JDM offers expertise in private exchanges and self-insured benefits plans.
Alera Group CEO Alan Levitz said: “Alera Group is excited to welcome JDM Benefits as our latest Alera Group company, expanding our service offerings throughout the Northeast region.

JDM Benefits joins Alera Group through Alera Group Northeast, which is a host of Alera Group firms located in the Northeast region of the US.
The team at JDM Benefits will continue to serve clients in their present roles.
