Alliance with Wright USA ups ING access to federal employees

In a move that will increase
its access to the US federal employee market, Dutch insurer ING
Group has formed an alliance with Wright USA, a specialist federal
employee programme administrator.

In a press release, Wright
USA said the alliance will enable it to offer an expanded line of
life insurance products designed to replace or supplement the
Federal Employees Group Life Insurance plan offered by the
government

“We needed a trusted partner
with flexibility and a successful track record that could
understand and meet the unique insurance needs of our sole
constituency, federal employees,” said Wright USA president Glenn
Clark.

“We feel ING’s experience and
expertise in these areas makes them a natural fit with Wright
USA.”

The new products marketed by
Wright USA are being underwritten by ING’s ReliaStar Life Insurance
Company unit.
