
Kensington Vanguard National Land Services (KV), an independent title insurance agency, has acquired Hometown Title & Escrow for an undisclosed sum.
The acquired firm, which is headquartered in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia, services both residential and commercial transactions in the Northern Virginia and Washington DC markets.
KV co-CEO Brian Cooper said: “We are very excited to add the Hometown Title team to our successful and expanding DC Metro Division. This transaction represents the fourth acquisition we’ve made in the region and we look forward to continued growth.”
The acquisition will boaster KV’s presence in DC Metro and Virginia market.
Hometown Title is spearheaded by Sharon Keegan.
Keegan said: “I have built my business on providing exemplary customer service to our clients, and I am thrilled to be part of a team that has vastly similar standards. This transaction will give our team more capacity and resources to focus on servicing our clientele.”
KV operates three divisions. The commercial division handles commercial real estate transactions, servicing property owners, developers, private equity funds, law firms, family offices and institutional lenders,
The residential division on the other hand provides title and settlement services for residential purchases.
The third division operates under the brand name of Legal 1031 Exchange. It employs experts, attorneys and exchange specialists.
