Amica Mutual Insurance Company has selected QA Consultants and its TestFactory services to oversee and validate the quality of its migration to the Guidewire Cloud platform.

QA Consultants has supported Amica previously to offer support and maintenance quality assurance services when it migrated to Guidewire and Salesforce platforms.

To offer these services, QA Consultants has assembled a standalone team for Amica and this programme.

Working form QA Consultants’ Toronto QA Center of Excellence (COE), the team will serve North American region.

Amica Corporate Information Systems Department quality assurance section manager Michael Bebko said: “We have chosen to work with, and continue to work with, QA Consultants for many reasons.

“They are experts at selecting experienced talent that meets our requirements, growing with us and our needs, and understanding the value of quality over testing.”

In November, Guidewire Software launched a no-code cloud-based solution to enable faster core system deployment.

Dubbed InsuranceNow GO, the new proposition is said to facilitate the quicker replacement of legacy systems and implementation of new business capabilities.

It enables a full-suite deployment within six months, with strategic utilisation of business resources during the deployment process.

It also supports easy upgrade, thereby lowering total ownership costs, as well as allows the addition of optional features depending on business requirements.

The new proposition is available to US insurers. Currently, the service covers homeowners and personal auto business lines, with a broader availability planned later.
