Specialty insurance products distributor Amwins has purchased managing general agency (MGA) Superior Underwriters, based in Bellevue, Washington, US.

With this acquisition, Superior Underwriters will become part of Amwins Access, a nationwide binding authority for small property and casualty businesses. The deal is said to improve Amwins’ capabilities to meet the needs of small to mid-sized accounts.
