Global professional services company Aon has completed its purchase of Griffiths & Armour, strengthening its foothold in the UK and Ireland.

The deal, whose financial terms remain undisclosed, was announced last November.

Finalised on 1 January 2025, the transaction makes Griffiths & Armour a wholly owned subsidiary of Aon UK. The entity will operate under the name Griffiths & Armour, an Aon company.

With more than 200 employees, Griffiths & Armour, now part of Aon, is said to deliver a wider array of solutions by leveraging the combined strengths of both companies.

Based out of the UK, Griffiths & Armour brings expertise in professional indemnity insurance and has a presence in general insurance broking.

Aon is maintaining its presence at Griffiths & Armour’s Liverpool office at Princes Dock, along with its teams in Liverpool, Manchester, Dublin, and London.
