Integrated insurance group Apollo has entered into an alliance with digital transformation services provider WNS to aid its third-party syndicate partnership business.

Through the long-term collaboration, Apollo is looking to enhance the growth of Lloyd’s syndicates by using technology, data and domain expertise.

The partnership’s Fast Start solution is designed to facilitate the rapid creation of new Lloyd’s syndicates by offering IT and data architecture support, customised to the unique requirements of each syndicate partner.

After the formation, Apollo and its partners can tap into WNS’ global talent pool, offering a solution that is “scalable and flexible”.

Apollo partnerships director Andrew Gray said: “Our syndicate partners choose Apollo because they want to work with an underwriting business that understands what it takes to be successful at Lloyd’s. Our partnership with WNS means that they can also now benefit from WNS’ market-leading technology and data solutions, in addition to their depth of skilled London Market resource.”

WNS Group CEO Keshav R Murugesh stated: “WNS’ Lloyd’s of London expertise, coupled with our advanced technology and analytics capabilities, has enabled us to enter into this relationship with Apollo to deliver end-to-end set-up and managed services for new syndicates.

“WNS looks forward to working with Apollo to enhance and streamline operations, deliver data-led actionable insights, enable superior customer experiences and ensure regulatory compliance for its syndicate clients.”

The approach is already in use at two of Apollo’s 2024 cohort of new syndicates – Africa Specialty Risk and NormanMax.

The latest move follows Apollo’s renewal of its partnership with Artificial, a company specialising in digital follow underwriting technology.

Apollo insurance products include casualty, energy and transportation, marine, property, reinsurance, smart follow and specialty divisions through Syndicate 1969, as well as digital and embedded risk programmes through Syndicate 1971.
