American insurance brokerage firm Arthur J. Gallagher has acquired Illinois-based Affiliated Benefit Consultants, continuing its recent buying spree.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
Affiliated Benefit Consultants was founded in 1986. It offers benefits consulting services to its clients across the US.
The current team including John Araujo will continue to operate from their current location being led by Tom Lannen, head of Gallagher’s Great Lakes region employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations.

Last month, Arthur J. Gallagher acquired 60% stake in Caribbean insurance broker Risk Management Services (RMS).
The company also acquired a minority stake in Malaysia-based SP&G Insurance Brokers in the same month.
In December last year, it signed an agreement to acquire the remaining 80% ownership stake in London-based Capsicum Re.
