BHSI is bolstering its European operations with new appointments and an office.
The US insurance major has appointed Thomas Pache as the head of its new PI and cyber insurance lines of business in the DACH region.
It has also named Kim Schumacher as senior property underwriter.
Furthermore, BHSI has opened an office in Hamburg to increase proximity to its customers and broker partners.
As per the plan, both the new appointees will operate out of BHSI’s new Hamburg outpost.
With more than 30 years of insurance sector experience, Pache will be responsible for offering cyber and PI insurance solutions.

Schumacher, who has nearly 20 years of experience, will be in charge of expanding the insurer’s Mittelstand property operations in Germany.
BHSI’s product portfolio in Germany and the wider DACH region includes property and casualty, as well as executive and professional lines insurance solutions.

Late last month, BHSI opened a new office in Milan, Italy, as part of efforts to expand its European operations.
The insurer also appointed Leonardo Castrichino, who has more than 30 years of experience, as the country manager to head its Italian operations.
Earlier in July, BHSI expanded its Nordic operations by opening a new office in Stockholm, Sweden.
