The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (BIBA) has teamed up with insurtech OneClickCover to launch a new home insurance offering.

BIBA’s latest offering provides broad coverage, which includes unlimited buildings cover and £80,000 of contents cover with a single unspecified item limit of £5,000.

This scheme leverages OneClickCover’s data-driven technology, which allows customers to buy home insurance by entering their postcode and providing affirmation to some short statements about themselves and their property.

In-addition, the scheme is integrated into OneClickCover’s platform and enables customers to pay single yearly or monthly payments.

OneClickCover is underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance, which also handles the insurtech’s claims.

BIBA noted that OneClickCover can offer home insurance solutions to more than 85% of properties in the UK.

OneClickCover founder and CEO Hutton Swinglehurst said: “In short, OneClickCover will offer BIBA members access to arguably the most highly advanced home insurance product available in the market with a customer journey superior to anything currently offered by aggregators or the large direct players.

“For the BIBA broker currently not offering home insurance, it will provide an income stream without marketing or administration costs and yet still offer their clients a highly innovative product.”

OneClickCover also offers additional coverage options like accidental damage (buildings and contents); personal possessions; family legal expenses and home emergency.
