Brokerslink, an insurance intermediary and global broking network, has established a dedicated trade credit insurance (TCI) practice.
The Switzerland-based company said this initiative comes in response to growing demand among its international network of independent brokers for enhanced TCI services.
The new practice will offer Brokerslink partners and affiliates access to a shared pool of trade credit expertise.
This approach aims to strengthen local and multinational client propositions by offering them access to collective knowledge in the sector.
TCI is a B2B product that safeguards businesses against the risks of non-payment of trade receivables, activating when a customer fails to pay under the terms of a contract.
A recent survey within Brokerslink revealed that 75% of brokers are keen to expand into TCI, with half recognising existing accounts that require international support.

By GlobalDataThe initiative also seeks to increase access to credit and surety capacity, fostering new international business opportunities and market access.
Brokerslink’s goal is to manage new global trade credit accounts and generate new premiums for the market, building on similar initiatives such as the employee benefits practice launched last year.
The TCI practice will be led by five regional ambassadors.
They are Alliant’s Miguel Carranza for the Americas; MDS Group’s Phillip Krinker for LATAM; Frantz Bouchereau from Filhet-Allard Credit for Europe, Amine Bengraiou from Alpha Assurances for Africa; and LK Insurance Services’ Dongmin Lee for Asia-Pacific.
Brokerslink chairman José Manuel Fonseca said: “Our latest dedicated knowledge hub will share the immense wealth of specialist knowledge we have across our broking community.
“This, along with our employee benefits and risk management practices, allows us to pool this knowledge for the mutual benefit of our network.”
Earlier this year, Allianz Trade introduced its next-generation TCI product in the UK and Ireland.
