
BrokerTech Ventures (BTV) has collaborated with The Hartford, bringing additional underwriting, claims management, and risk mitigation expertise to the BTV carrier network.
This alliance is expected to strengthen BTV’s capacity as a connecting hub for startups, brokers, and carriers, and expedite the delivery of insurtech solutions to the market.
The Hartford’s inclusion expands the BTV network to 13 broker partners,12 carriers and wholesalers, and close to 60 startups.
With total investments nearing $3m, BTV claims 95% success rate among startups, with valuations reaching around $1.1bn, recording an average increase of two times post their joining in the BTV Accelerator.
In addition, these startups have collectively secured over $280m and executed close to 1,000 proof-of-concepts, the company added.

In November 2024, BTV partnered with Irish insurer Instech.IE to provide insurtech companies with the necessary resources and support to access new markets, and drive growth.
