US-based insurance provider Charles Taylor has expanded its global footprint with the launch of a new claims adjusting office in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The office will focus on the natural resources sector, aiming to meet the increasing need for specialised claims and adjustment expertise in the region.

Charles Taylor’s natural resources team provides specialised services for complex claims within the energy, mining and natural resource sectors.

The insurance company views Latin America as a “key market for energy and natural resources” due to its reserves of oil, gas and minerals, alongside an increasing emphasis on renewable energy.

As a result, the region is a central hub for global energy investments, where the need for specialised claims management is essential, added Charles Taylor.

The office will deliver localised support to clients operating in the region, addressing both challenges and opportunities.
