Chubb, a property and casualty insurance firm, has launched a major accounts division in Asia Pacific.

The new division will tend to large, global as well as multi-national clients and business partners in the Asia-Pacific region, facilitating underwriting, risk engineering and claims.

The division will be led by Doug White, who will manage the Chubb global services team, global client executives, claims client relationship managers and risk engineers.

He will report to Chubb regional head of property and casualty for Asia Pacific Jason Keen.

White presently serves as the country president of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau at Chubb. He has held this role since 2014.

In his insurance industry career of over 25 years, he also served as the managing director at a broker.

At the same time, the firm also named Patrick Wong as its global client executive for North Asia.

In the newly created role, Wong will be the senior relationship manager and cater to the firm’s large global clients in North Asia as a single point of contact.

Currently, Wong serves as the head of property and casualty for Hong Kong at Chubb. In the new role, he will report to White.

Both White and Wong will assume their new responsibilities on 1 October 2018.
