American property and casualty insurer Chubb has rolled out its free Environmental Incident Alert Service in UK, Ireland and Continental Europe.

This alert service is available to commercial customers including starting from small, mid-size enterprises to multinational businesses.

It is designed to help clients mitigate potential liabilities associated with environmental releases, access qualified incident response contractors and monitor cleanup costs.

The service provides response coordination assistance, incident documentation using customised alerts through email and/or text message.

Available round the clock, the service is already functional in over 50 countries across Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia Pacific in multiple languages.

Chubb Overseas General head of environmental risk Dorothee Prunier said: “The ability to respond quickly to an environmental incident is critical to minimise any potential impact. Delays can exacerbate damage, create further issues in terms of clean up and business continuity.
