Chubb, a property and casualty insurance company, is set to strengthen its finance team with a series of executive appointments, which will take effect from 4 September 2024.  

George Ohsiek has been named Chubb group’s vice-president and chief accounting officer, succeeding Annmarie Hagan, who is taking on a new role as vice-president of Chubb group and CFO of operations & technology and transformation. 

Ohsiek, who currently serves as chief auditor for Chubb group, brings more than 25 years of accounting and finance experience to his new position.  

In this role, he will oversee corporate and regulatory accounting matters, financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, and statutory and GAAP accounting policy.  

His responsibilities will also extend to the direct oversight of corporate and subsidiary controllers.  

Before his stint as chief auditor, Ohsiek held various corporate finance roles at Chubb, including senior vice-president of global accounting policy and group controller.

His career also includes time at the US Securities and Exchange Commission and KPMG. 

Hagan, with more than 35 years of experience in insurance, accounting and financial management, will manage financial planning and analysis for Chubb’s technology and operations organisations.  

Her responsibilities will encompass real estate operations, technology-related transformation initiatives, controllership of technology-related assets, compliance functions and operationalising environmental, social and governance (ESG)-related financial reporting.  

Hagan’s previous roles at Chubb include global controller and senior vice-president of operations and finance for Combined Insurance, a Chubb company.  

She has also held executive positions at other companies, including CFO for Cigna. 

Mong-Diep ‘Dee’ Le will take over from Ohsiek as chief auditor.  

Le is currently the executive vice-president, global controller for Chubb, and in her forthcoming role she will be responsible for all internal audit functions worldwide.  

Le’s experience spans more than 25 years in accounting and reporting.  

Her past responsibilities have included roles in SEC reporting and financial accounting. The announcement of a new global controller to succeed Le will be made shortly. 

All three executives will report to Chubb group executive vice-president and CFO Peter Enns.  

Hagan will also report to Julie Dillman, executive vice president of Chubb group; senior executive, operations & technology; and digital transformation officer.  

Le will additionally report to the Chubb audit committee.

In June 2024, Chubb appointed Mikko Ronikonmäki as its commercial lines manager for Finland to bolster its operations in the country.
