Global law firm Clyde & Co has merged with Dallas-based Tillman Batchelor, expanding its North American insurance practice.

The integration of the businesses brings on board partners Mark Tillman and Colin Batchelor, along with a six-person team, to Clyde & Co’s Dallas office.

Tillman Batchelor caters to the litigation requirements of domestic and international insurance carriers, as well as their insureds.

The company is known for its expertise in defending first party/bad faith insurance litigation and providing insurance coverage advice and consultation across various lines of insurance business.

This merger is set to enhance Clyde & Co’s North American insurance practice, which boasts coverage and defence capabilities in all insurance lines.

It follows the recent addition of partners Tom Maroney and Liz Evans in New York, and Smita Mokshagundam and Danny Worker in Chicago.

Clyde & Co senior partner Carolena Gordon stated: “Texas is an important market for our US and global insurance clients seeking coverage and defense services, and we are pleased to strengthen our team and south-west presence to better serve them. Tillman/Batchelor noted: “We have a long-standing relationship with Clyde & Co and this merger was the natural next step for us, with clear synergies between our practices and clients. Our clients in Dallas and beyond stand to benefit significantly, as does our entire team.”
