Aegon Life Insurance, an India-based life insurance joint venture company of Dutch insurer Aegon and Times Group, has hired Vineet Arora as the managing director and CEO of the company.
Arora will assume the new role in January 2018. He will replace K S Gopalakrishnan, who left the company on 17 November 2017.
Prior to accepting the current role, Arora worked with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance in a number of roles including the highest held post of senior vice president – bancassurance and alliances.
He also worked as the senior general manager and head of product, distribution, marketing and wealth management at ICICI Securities.
Saba Adil, who is currently chief people officer of Aegon Life Insurance, will serve as the interim in-charge and principal officer.
Based in Mumbai, Aegon Life offers services including term life insurance, investment, savings and health insurance plan.
