iXledger, a UK-based technology company developing insurance solutions using blockchain, has partnered with General Reinsurance (Gen Re), a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, to develop solutions for life and health insurance using blockchain and other advanced technologies.
Under the terms of the strategic collaboration, the partners will develop use cases for iXledger technology amongst life and health insurance company clients of Gen Re, and to deliver transformative processes to them.

iXledger said that the project will initially focus on the UK, with the potential to expand to other geographies, including Europe, Asia and the US.
