Insurtech company Cover Genius has joined hands with travel agency company Priceline to provide embedded travel protection for customers in North America.  

This collaboration will see the integration of Cover Genius’ XCover distribution platform into Priceline’s system, offering protection for flights, hotels, rental cars and travel packages. 

With the integration, customers can manage their protection plans directly through their XCover accounts.  

They can review policy details, access support, file claims and receive payments for approved claims, all in multiple languages and currencies.  

This solution is designed to streamline the travel insurance process for Priceline’s customers. 

Cover Genius’ approach to protection includes an application programming interface (API), AI-powered policy recommendations, user interface testing for optimisation and a variety of insurance products.

XCover Protection is currently available to Priceline customers in the US and Canada, with plans to expand to more markets.

The partnership follows Cover Genius’ recent $80m Series E fundraise, which was led by Spark Capital and also included contributions from Dawn Capital, King River Capital and G Squared.
