UK-based insurance services firm Davies Group has purchased home-grown FWD Training and Consultancy Limited (FWD) for an undisclosed sum.
Besides professional training, Kent-based FWD offers and apprenticeship training in the insurance and financial services sectors.
The acquirer expects the acquisition to further strengthen its consulting and technology business in the UK.
Upon completion of the transaction, FWD will operate as a part of a new learning solutions arm within Davies’ wider Consulting & Technology offering.
FWD directors Austen Basleigh, Alison Bate and Marcus Bowsher will continue to manage the new learning solutions business. The learning solutions unit will directly report to Mark Grocott.
Following the takeover, Davies team will include over 2,000 professionals across its claims solutions, insurance services and consulting & technology businesses.

By GlobalDataDavies said that the acquisition of FWD is its fourth deal in this year.
