DUAL Europe, the underwriting arm of Howden Group, has forged a partnership with VHV Allgemeine Versicherung to reinforce its construction market offerings.
VHV Allgemeine Versicherung, part of VHV Group, is an insurance provider specialising in the construction sector and ranks among the key insurers in Germany for cars and liability coverage.

The partnership leverages VHV’s expertise to expand DUAL Europe’s Engineering & Construction Hub, which includes a wide range of coverages such as construction all risks, erection all risks and machinery breakdown.
In conjunction with the partnership, DUAL Europe has made several appointments to its Engineering & Construction Hub.
Christian Müller, who has more than 25 years of experience, has been appointed as head of engineering & construction Europe.
Müller’s expertise stems from his previous position as underwriting manager for the International & Swiss construction team at AXA XL Insurance.

By GlobalDataDan Georgescu, with 23 years in the insurance industry, has been appointed underwriter manager at DUAL Europe, operating from Zurich, Switzerland.
Meanwhile, Giulio Dragone joins DUAL Italia as head of engineering in Milan, Italy, bringing 15 years of industry experience to the table.
DUAL Nordics has appointed Hakan Hedin as head of engineering, based in Stockholm, Sweden. He has nearly 32 years of experience in the insurance sector.
Gürhan Metin, with 19 years of experience, takes on the role of head of engineering at DUAL Deutschland in Hamburg, Germany.
Furthermore, Robin Adriaansen and Imke Swierstra, each with 12 years of experience in the insurance industry, join DUAL Benelux.
Adriaansen as head of engineering and Swierstra as lead underwriter engineering will be based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

DUAL recently expanded its Asia-Pacific operations by introducing a new title insurance business line through Dual Asset.
This initiative is designed to support commercial real estate and mergers and acquisitions transactions across key markets in the region.
