US-based EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants has acquired Chartwell Insurance Services, which specialises in personal property and liability solutions for individuals and families.
The financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.
This acquisition is expected to enhance EPIC’s private client practice, strengthening its presence in Chicago and the Midwest while expanding its specialised solutions nationwide.
Chartwell was established by Rebecca Korach Woan.
The company specialises in managing fine art, jewellery and vintage car collections, along with providing insurance for homes, automobiles and yachts.
As part of EPIC, Chartwell is expected to offer more customised solutions and grant its clients access to resources and national-level expertise.
The acquisition continues EPIC’s focus on expanding its private client practice, with a focus on Chicago and the wider Midwest region.
It follows the acquisition in September 2024 of Phillips Bros. Insurance Agency, a Midwest company specialising in private client and commercial property and casualty solutions.
Korach Woan said: “This is an exciting step for our team as we join EPIC. Our firm has always been dedicated to building trusted relationships and delivering highly customised solutions. Partnering with EPIC allows us to preserve that boutique approach while offering clients access to the broader capabilities and support of the national firm.”
EPIC private client president Kevin Daley added: “Chartwell’s reputation for specialised expertise and client service makes them an ideal addition to EPIC. Rebecca and her team share our dedication to delivering tailored solutions and trusted guidance, and we are thrilled to welcome them as we continue to expand in Chicago and beyond.”
Last week, EPIC Senior Living, a division specifically designed to tackle the complexities of the senior living insurance market, was appointed as the broker and programme administrator for LeadingAge’s national Aging Services Insurance programme.
